An new source now claims to have the inside scoop on the camera info of the handset, codenamed “Perfume”. According to the info, the phone is going to have a 12 MP Sony IMX 377 sensor on the back with a pixel size of 1.55 um. It will be supported by laser autofocus as well as phase detection autofocus.
As for the front camera, HTC is apparently referring to it as an UltraPixel one. However, its sensor is said to be a 5MP Samsung s5k4e6 one, which has 1.34µm pixel size – much smaller than the 2µm of the original UltraPixel cameras. OIS was previously said to appear in both the front and back shooter.
